Tord Svedberg, M.S. in Chemical Engineering at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, and President & CEO of IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute, Sweden’s leading organisation for applied research and assignments in the fields of climate, energy and environment. He worked with research & development as well as production and supply management in the pharmaceutical industry between 1984-2008 in companies as Pharmacia, Astra and AstraZeneca. He is now also the Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce, Sweden Reference Group for Environment & Energy, Chairman of the Board, Sino-Swedish (Tianjin) Environmental Technology Development Co., Ltd., Member of the European Federation of Chemical Engineering Working Party on Process Intensification, Chairman of the Board, Swedish Plastics & Chemicals Federation, Member of the Board for the World Association of Industrial and Technological Research Organizations, and Member of the Advisory Council for the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute.
